One of my favorite times to be Catskiing is late December or January as your odds of getting fresh snow on a daily basis are quite good. Last January we were fortunate enough to hit Monashee Powder Snowcats during the start of a fun storm cycle. This trip started the first week of January with Bluebird skies making our first day out an epic one! It's pretty impressive to see a sunrise in the Monashee's on a Crystal clear morning!
Over the next few days we got a mix of weather which meant freshie resets at night or throughout the day. We were totally impressed with the wide variety of terrain options that Monashee has in their huge tenure, one in particular is The Burn. Cool is an understatment.
Can't wait to get back out there!
Here's a video of our trip.
