Red Mountain to Whitewater Transportation question

Hello All...planning a trip a to Red Mtn BC mid January.  Looking to do two days at Whitewater. We won't have vehicles, so are there shuttle services between Red Mtn and Whitewater?  Thanks for any info you can supply!

No shuttle from Red to WH2O. There is a shuttle from Nelson but that's coming from the wrong direction. I wonder if any Epic members are Red locals and might want someone to pay the gas to go the WH2O. Just curious - how are you getting to Red without a car?

No shuttle, AFAIK.

I don't live in Rossland or Trail, so I'm not much help. I just go straight from home to WH2O.

It's the Kootenays. You could try hitchhiking. If you can reach the bottom of the Whitewater road, you can get a ride up to the ski area in a matter of minutes.

And Castle Dave has a good question. How are you getting to Rossland (just out of curiosity)? It's not like there is a lot of public transportation around here.

There wasn't an organised shuttle last year. Depending on how many in your group you could try someone like these guys

We used them to get from Spokane to Red and from Red to Castlegar. But it might make for an expensive days skiing

+1 Hitchhike.  I stop and pick people up. Especially if they are dressed like good skiers. I feel like I see more people hitchhiking in the kootenays that i do other places. Use to do it along the north shore growing up. Usually got a ride before the bus arrived.

Plus you could add it to the BC experience. maybe it sucks, maybe you luck out and hit a great ride with a knowledgeable local. Who knows, but you'll have a story to tell that's for sure.

Another option is these guys Gravity Adventures. Looks like they go from Rossland to Nelson thurs-Monday at 4PM.  I used them to get to the spokane airport once. Good guy driving that made the trip easy.

Thanks for the feedback all!  A group of us are flying into Spokane and then shuttling up to Red and staying right on the mountain. We are set up to go to WW for one day.  A smaller group wanted to possibly go to WW for a second day, reason for my question...well, it's been a while since I hitched but that might be interesting.  Or, I'll just ski Red another day...it's all good.  Bottom line it's my first trip to Red, after wanting to ski there for a very long time... and it's finally happening!
