Best food in breckenridge

So I went to Breck last year for the first time.  We ate dinner out every night.  Id have to say the best 2 places we ate were that cajun restuarant.  (cost effective and good, fun service!) and angles hallow had awesome fish tacos and fun service.

What have I missed in Breck!  What is good and cost effective?

For Cajun food are you talking about Bubba Gumps?

Not Bubba Gump's. The Lost Cajun. Very tasty!

That's in Frisco? Did it move?

One in Frisco, one in Breck. Good for all.

Best meal in Summit is at Food Hedz in Frisco and its pretty reasonable for Summit.

Food Hedz is good, though in my opinion the best food in Summit County is Vinnie's, also in Frisco. In Breck, Le Petit Paris and Ember are excellent, though the latter is tough to get into and a bit pricey.

I've mentioned this before, but we really like Downstairs at Erics. Downside is it's usually really crowded, plus not always fun dining in a basement on a nice day. So that's the place where we eat a lot on winter evenings. During summer we like eating lunch at Fatty's in their outdoor seating area.

There are a ton of restaurants in Breck so I can't say it's the best, but we keep going back to the Blue River Bistro.  We've always had good food and the service is sometimes better that others.   I've got pretty low expectations for service in ski town restaurants unless the price is more than I'm willing to pay.  It's really hard to keep good servers and maintain consistency in a ski town.

The crepes at Crepes ala Cart are fantastic for a quick bite while walking around town.   The Breckenridge Brewery also has really good food and beer.  I like the food even better at the Dam Brewery in Dillon, though.

I agree, Vinny's is my favorite also- bar menu all night and Happy Hour make for some very good food at reasonable prices.

I liked Food Hedz the first time I went, but haven't been back since getting one dish that I found disgusting and being scared away the last time I looked at their menu prices.

Your Breck choices are both very good but don't really fall into the OP's cost effective category (except possibly when Ember is running 2 for 1s off season).

To me, good and cost effective is a tough combo for Breck although I suppose hitting some of the Happy Hours can be decent for what they are (forget the name but place serving sliders on Park just below Beaver Run or Mi Casa bar area).  I am not sure if they do it during ski season, but thought the Relish Happy Hour was good food at reasonable prices a few years back.

By cost effective I mean not crazy priced.  The Lost Cajun my GF and I ate and drank for under $50 that is pretty good and it tasted great.  We also ate at the angels hallow and I think our bill was around $50 as well and the fish tacos are things to dream of.

I was thinking that there would  be more places in town that dont get the hype that are really good and around that price as well.

Downstairs at erics we ate there.  it was ok.  we liked the bar.  We got the salty cheese balls or what ever they were called too which was fun to order.

Motherloaded tavern was good too but wasnt a world changer!  I had the Mac n Cheese it was good.

We also ate at Hearthstone.  IT was pretty and the service was great but I expected more from a $35 entree.

Thanks for the advice guys.  We will be back there in February again and I am just looking for new places to try that sound like fun!
