Blizzard Brahma or Bonafide or Line Sick Day 95

Hi

I am originally from Scotland but now live in North Vancouver. Thinking of getting some new skis. Choices are Blizzard Brahma or Bonafide or Line Sick Day 95.

I am 6"3 and weigh 115kg. I am an advanced intermediate skiier. (I can ski all of the blues at Whistler and some of the easier blacks). This year I will spend most time this year on local mountains in Vancouver (Cypress, Grouse & Seymour) with some trips up to Whistler.

Any thoughts on ski and length?

Originally, I though Bonafide but may be too much for the local mountains/ my abiility. So I thought get the Brahma. Then someone said to me get the Bonafide due to my size. Then I saw the Line Sick Day 95.

Any thoughts.

Cheers

I'm 6'1" 178lbs, 42 year old expert that skis eastern Washington and Idaho. I bought the 180cm Bonafide this year and have been on it about 5 different times. It is a great ski if you want to put the effort into it, it is a burly ski but doesn't ski like one. Extremely versatile! At your weight you will easily be able to handle it, I find it heavy halfway through the day compared to my other skis, but I also have a bad left knee. Sick day will have a lighter swing weight to it and be more playful at slower speeds and flatter terrain. The 187cm bonafide for your size will be a big ski for an intermediate but if you are pushing more towards the expert side you should be fine. I'm dying to try a sick day in the 186cm size too. I might be selling my Bonafides just because I can't ski them as a one ski quiver for multiple days.

The Brahma and Bonafide are basically the same ski except for width, for where you are, i would say the Bonafide as a one ski option of these two unless you plan on adding a big day powder ski. Now the Sick Day splits the difference in width of the two Bilzzards and is indeed a more playful ski that them at the cost of upper end power, being an advanced intermediate, that will be little cost to you. I would say the Sick Day or a more finesse 98 such as the Sick Day's cousin, the K2 Annex98.
