We are coming!

We spent a week in Spokane, Spokane Valley and northern Idaho and decided to live in Couer D'alene. We bought season passes to Silver Mountain where we of drove to and like the access we'll have to Lookout and Schweitzer. Eventually we'll get to 49 Degrees and Mt Spokane, which we also drove to,. We're looking forward to a good winter and to meeting some of you folks. I plan on taking Pete up on his offer to guide us at Silver and Lookout. We should be landing during the 1st week in December.

Good choice lived in Dd'A for about a dozen years.  Some great neighborhoods to live in.

Try out the Blue Moon Cafe down on East Sherman. Very local, great gumbo.

You'll like Silver.

Thanks. I don't know much about Whitefish but if it tops out at over 6300' that could be a problem for my wife. On the other hand I've never seen a ski area I didn't want to try at least once.

Although it's advertised as 6817, I believe that is the radio tower and not the lift. So, I think we'll edge in just under that. I hope the extra 500 isn't as bad as you think after a few months in Coeur d'Alene.

Welcome to the Inland Pacific Northwest.   I will pm you my phone number so we can tour Silver together.  I have 2 in at the house -2250 ft- and Lookout has 14 on top and 9 at lodge.  Lookout will open in a week or 10 days and Silver will open the Fri after thanksgiving.

Silver reporting 16" on top of Kellogg Pk today. Heard Lookout had the groomers out already, packing snow.

Unfortunately, the forecast has snow levels rising a bit and might rain some of it away.

We bring snow wherever we go in the mountains (with the exception of North Carolina). Unfortunately it starts when we are in the process of moving. I hope this will be the exception; lots of snow on the slopes and little or none on the roads during our 2400 mile trip. I'm already jealous of you guys!
