My RX 130's were a first year boot and they leaked bad! Duct tape would not help, as it was the overap on top of the foot. When buckled there was about 1/16" gap. Snow would get it, melt against the warmer liner, and then freeze solid. As the RX line had the translucent shells, you could actually see it happening. So no it wasn't a "little problem" that I was whining about. It was a serious defect and Lange made good and replaced them. The new pair is way better but still leaks a little, but is bearable. The first pair was not. BTW it was the 27.5 in the 100mm last.
Mine just arrived. They are a 2103 model. There is no gap of 1/16" or any gap at all.
In fact, there is about a 5/8" overlap at the second buckle. And the flap seems to have a ridge of sort to create a seal.
Lovely boots. Impressive quality and tactile fell. And the liner quality far surpasses the stock lines of my Dobermann's - remind me more of the Zipfits. Th fit is excellent for my foot - in the low volume (97mm) version. Great heel pocket with good room in the toe box. Mostly, I like the upright stance, which is what I was looking for. My only complaint is the "billboard" graphics. The word "Lange" appears no fewer than five times on each boots. Just in case you forget what is on your feet.
