Display issues in Safari

post #1 of 6
Thread Starter

I got  PM from a member who's having issues in Safari.

@chemist

Here is the PM he sent to me.

Starting last night, I noticed epicski.com no longer displays correctly in Safari; it still works fine in Firefox and Chrome.

Details:  Safari Version 5.1.10 (6534.59.10) in OSX 10.6.8 (both updated to latest versions), MacBook Pro 8,2.

Thanks, Trekchick -- I didn't know about the bug report subforum.  But now that I do, here's a screenshot comparing how Safari (on left) and Chrome (on right) currently display the epic homepage.  Before last night, Safari and Chrome looked the same.

Here are two more comparisons.   The first shows the bottom of a thread, and the second shows the top page for the forums:

Well, the one on the left is in mobile mode. Go to the bottom of the page and click the Desktop mode.

Thanks, that's what it was!  The other sites I frequent don't have such buttons, and I must have clicked on that one accidentally.  [Plus, for various reasons, I've resisted getting a smartphone, which is why I didn't recognize the mobile mode.]  Problem solved.  :)
