New skis for husband

Turning the tables on all these 'which skis should I buy for the wifey' and gonna ask some input on models to look at for my husband.

Where he skis- Summit county CO

Where on the mountain- pretty much everywhere but we spend most of our time in trees and upper mountain stuff.

Stats- 5'6", 150 lbs

Looking for- an all mountain ski to complement his S7s for deeper days. He was using his bc setup (S3s) at the resort but I'm pushing him to get a dedicated pair of downhill all mountain skis. He really likes his Rossis but I suggested he might want to look at a different brand. Of course if he doesn't find something he likes he will probably just buy another pair of S3s or whatever they are called this year. Like to keep it just under a 100 waist, 95-99ish.

What type of skier- Strong but not super technical. I'd say he's about a level 8. He can keep up with me on most days but he doesn't look as pretty doing it. :)

Thanks in advance for your input!

Hi Kimmy, Does he want to compliment his current S7 and fill a hole for his daily driver?  That's how I understand it.

He charges pretty hard keeping up with you and Rachel

My first instinct is to say Bonafide, but that's too easy.  The other option is to stay with the Rossi line up and the new version of his S3, with the Sin7 like Whiteroom suggested.  The tail on the Sin7 has a much nicer finish than the old S3.

Start Haus has some Blems left that may be super affordable for him as well, like the Enforcer but that's got a whole different feel than the Rossi's he likes so much.

Did he demo any of the skis we had at Mother's day?

He looks deep in thought here...

For a lighter skier like him there are some great options.

Line sick day 95
Salomon quest 98
Rossi sin7
Atomic theory

All under 600 with the quest being the best value at 499.

He is thinking of doing one of the Loveland demo days in November. Was hoping to get something from last season instead of paying full price, but we could pay full price (if we did he would probably go for the sin7s) if we had to. He is looking at a ski as a complement to his S7s. We will check out the other recs, thanks guys!

Tricia, what on earth were we looking at so intently in that photo? Pretty sure thats the most serious we were all day!

There were a lot of interesting things to stare at that day on the beach. :eek
