Salomon 2013 Impact 100 CS vs Salomon 2014 X-Pro 100

Does anyone know much about these two boots? I'm looking at the specs, and they look identical in flex and forefoot width and last.

I am asking because I went and got fitted today and the Salomon X Pro 100 were recommended at 26.5. I wanted to see if I could get last years model for cheaper online and I found the Impact 100 CS for about half the price. Any clue if these fit similarly or any reason I should go for the more expensive X-Pros? I am an intermediate skier doing mostly all mountain terrain or groomers.

Thanks!

this might be the wrong place to ask that question as having just admitted to using a boot fitter for try ons only to buy cheap on line then you are very likely to get some harsh comments, the only people who can respond to you on here make their living from FITTING ski boots

the impact may be marked up as the same last (width in size 26) and flex BUT is a completely different boot in terms of shape, fit and forward lean

other than that not a lot

Sorry, didnt mean to offend. My boot fitter actually was really cool and knows I'm a college kid with not a lot of cash. He actually told me he would write down everything for me and I could go look for last years model and then bring them in for a custom fit / custom insoles.

Well, I went with the Impact CS 100. I'll see how the fit compares to this years model and update the thread for anyone curious.
