Let me start by saying my wife loves skiing and is excited for her 4th year of skiing this winter. She's a mid to strong intermediate already and likes to ski once or twice a week if time allows.
Unfortunately she has very little interest in skiing out west, while I'm obsessed with it. She says 'skiing here in MN is fine for me'.. I honestly don't think she knows how much fun a trip to somewhere like Steamboat would be for us. We have kids who ski as well and they are getting pretty good and could handle skiing out west no problem.
Has anyone else dealt with something like this? How do I convince her this trip would be worth the vacation time/money?
We're booking a trip again this winter to Lutsen, which is about the best skiing resort in the midwest, but it's simply not challanging enough for me at this point.
I'm seriously thinking about savings some money on the sly and planning a trip out west by myself at this point.
