I will likely choose something from here http://www.epicski.com/t/108428/ski-resort-with-most-intermediate-slopes-in-utah-colorado-etc because some of you people have turned this thread into a circus and I'm not sure who is being serious and who isn't any more...and I believe half of you want to steer me wrong now.
Absolutely hilarious yet maddening and actually insulting to everyone here who's given great advice.
There's a lot of great information in this thread. So say even people with very few posts who are using it to plan their trips.
First, when you say "choose something" you say it as if there are hidden resorts we haven't covered. Well yeah, we didn't cover Lake Tahoe cause they have no snow. We didn't cover the PNW because....well it's the PNW. It's got nothing for you at this stage.
Steer you wrong? Like what Steamboat, Winter Park? Those are great areas.
No one mentions Aspen because it's expensive and very long to get to. Read extra cost to get there solo. Traveling with others might eliminate that as sharing a car isn't bad. That's looking out for you.
You picked out Kremmeling because it has a hostel. (See why no Aspen??)
A town that those in the know told you was worthless for what you want and if it snows you're stuck.and can't go skiing!! You would be stuck there this wed or thurs or fri night probably.. Maybe even all of those nights. That's actually people looking out for you.
Believe it or not, we actually want you to go somewhere!
Still, you come up with continually changing requirements and won't commit to even dates or cost.
Basically Park City would be perfect. It was suggested like the first page and many times since. For some reason you've rejected it.
I think you wanted to stay at the Goldminer's Daughter though no? Makes no sense given you want inexpensive and lots of intermediate, but fine.
If you really, want to go to Whistler just go!
People who've been there many times say it's not the best for your first trip, but it's still ok.
