What are those rubber heel/toe thingys on boot soles called?

This has to be really basic, I'm sure people replace these all the time but I need to replace those rubber pieces that go on the sole of the heels and toe. Problem is I don't really know what they're called so when I google search for them I don't find anything. I need them for a pair of Nordica Double Sixes.

'Lugs' may or may not be replaceable.

Wear pads or wear plates.

*%$#&@#% when you can't find any replacements.

I suspect that a respectable boot fitter could reconstruct those, what with all the boot sole modifications that go on these days. You'd be in luck if you had a pair of 2012 Lange Comps. I have a set of those as the boots came with two pair, one FIS compliant, one not.

Ok thanks for the replies. Tried some more googling using some of the suggested terms and found what I was looking for here http://www.skiequipmentuk.co.uk/shop/products/Nordica_Hell_and_Back-Hike-Double_Six_PU_Heels_and_Toes.htm they stock a bunch replacement accessories for lots of different boots. Unfortunately they're in the UK but estimated shipping was only about $10 CAD so not bad.

Glad you found the parts.

If anyone can't find parts for their boots consider searching ebay and craigslist for a used or old stock pair to buy cheap.   That also applies if you have boots you love and will want to keep beyond their useful life.  Start searching now since finding a cheap pair will double the useful life of your boots at very little cost.
