Wondering where the most challenging skiing is to be found in the large area known as Grand Massif?

Most likely Flaine. Other resorts in the group are lower and have runs in the trees. It's pretty close to me but I've not skied there for a while. Sorry I can't be more specific!

Flaine. There is a fairly unique hazard in the bowl in that even if avy hazard is low or skiing low angle there are a number of sinkholes which sometimes catch out the unwary.

thanks for the info...what happens to the unwary who do hit the Flaine sink holes..or are they not heard from again?

Worse case like going in a crevasse or treewell so not good

 

but some terraforming has gone on
