Kneale, I look forward to hearing back on the conditions.  Loveland looks like they got a bit more snow on their side of the ridge than Abasin.  :popcorn

My iPhone pix from just off the top of Loveland's Lift 1.

Nice, comfortably small crowd for the start of the season. The parking lot at 8 a.m.:

I quit just after 10 a.m., when the parking lot looked like this:

I got there an hour before opening to pick up my $89 season pass:

An hour was long enough to get my shins appropriately sore from my boots. There were no more than two dozen folks in the line ahead of me when the lift opened. The line was so short I didn't think to get a photo. I drove home to Breck over Loveland Pass to see what was going on at A-Basin. Looked like the lower parking lot filled. Upper lot was maybe 10 per cent full.

Loveland has some construction of its own going on. Pix is of an expansion of both the lower ratskeller and the upper cafeteria.

Wow it's looking good up there, nice pics.   It's a whole lot whiter than it should be on Oct 17th.  What a great start to the season!

Also glad to see Loveland expanding the cafeteria!!

Yes Tricia Yes!

Wow, nice pics from Kneale...ya gotta Love whats going on at Love.

Of course we must work on Bob and Chris.  They just show no interest in skiing whatsoever.  I don't know what's happened to them.  I've tried...but I'm just about ready to give up.

I think we need an intervention...

...say, I'll bet you, Betsy and Susan would do a great job organizing that ;)

Saw both Bob and Chris yesterday at Loveland. Sorry to learn that after some 30 years in Summit County, Bob is moving to Aspen to teach/train at Aspen Highlands.

Everybody knows one...but just how much does the "Town Crier" job pay?

Now that's a job without much thought required ;)
