Just realized I'm in the borderline boot territory for kids boots and bindings, and may need to go with an adult din sole depending on the size, model and if I want more than a season out of the new equipment. Skier is light at aprox 30 KG, type lll, so DIN 7 binding is appropriate as I will need around a 3-3.5 din (or slightly more if retention is an issue) depending on sole length and weight at ski season. Have older rock skis with Marker 4.5 and volkl speedwall SL skis with Marker 7.0 that I would like to keep using, and was considering Marker 7.0 for new volkl GS skis as well. If the Markers 4.5 and 7.0 will work with either soles it is a non issue. If they just work with just kids boots I will have to decide if I should go short on the boots to make the equipment fit for a year, or go long and upgrade everything to fit. In this situation I am probably looking at having to get Marker din 3-10 bindings to fit the volkl ski's binding plates, so am concerned about being at the bottom of the DIN range if I have to go this route.
Thanks for input
