Well, @fuzzybabybunny and @HippieFlippinNM don't seem so gnar anymore.  Sleeping in their cars ski at A-basin has been seriously upstaged :)

I'll be there on Tuesday and will gladly stand in line while catching up with some other bears on "what did you do over the summer" Thumbs Up

So true! Have fun Tuesday.

My girlfriend took a few photos - we only did 2 runs as the line was really long. The snow was really fun though!

It was awesome today for the first 2-2.5hrs. Hardly any wait at the lift and they got a fresh inch or so last night. After that, it did get a little crowded, short of the lunchtime break, but it snowed on and off all day, sometimes heavily, and the lift was nothing like those pictures of yesterday. It felt oh-so-good to be back. Epic start to the season and I hope it's foreshadowing a good winter.

Went up to A-basin again today. First row parking with 4 inches of fresh was a nice start to the morning. Awesome conditions for the first couple of hours and then the crowds came back. Probably about the same number of people as yesterday. That said, it flurried all day between bouts of sunshine and was a bit warmer so it was really pleasant short of the crowds.

Coverage above treeline is starting to look really good. I wouldn't be surprised if that had a full run open by the end of the week. They're also blowing on ramrod so it's definitely coming along.

The folks sleeping under the first chair were from Vail.

I heard opening day was ridiculous. One guy on the lift said he only got 2 runs in.

Ramrod is opening up today. Might have to check that out tomorrow.

Woohoo, Ramrod!!!!

Oh, never mind, they will probably exterminate all the poor little baby bumps for 6 or 7 months.  So, sad we have to wait until May for Ramrod bumps :)

It's looking really good up there:

It's gonna be an amazing WROD season given the cold temps and storms that keep rolling through.  I'll bet all the other areas open up with more runs open than usual.  They will have to if they want to pull folks away from A-basin.
