Hi, I recorded these runs on video last year on a training camp before a GS race weekend because I wanted to see which skis were quicker and also if there were any significant differences in style or general appearance. Skis tested were 180cm Völkl 2012 cheater GS R19m and 191cm 2009 new old stock Head R27m.

If we look at the speed we can see on the overlay video that the shorter turnier ski was quicker on the steep while the longer radius ski quickly caught up on the flat. I cannot see much difference in style, can you? One thing that is quite easy to spot is how much quicker I start the new turn on the cheaters skis. With the longer ones Im kind late all of the time on the steep.

What do you think?
