2012/13 Stockli Stormrider VXL, 180cm, with Vist interchangeable bindings and plate. Plate is mounted on the skis, bindings install with a flick of a lever. Both skis and bindings are new, bindings are still in box. http://www.stockli.com/products/stormrider-vxl

Bindings have color coded interchangeable covers to match skis. $1100 for both, will split the cost of shipping.

Anyone want to make me an offer on these before I'm overwhelmed with the temptation to take them out and actually ski them? :dunno

That's a great setup. Have skied the older version with same binding setup. One of the best skis I've ever been on. Heavy though.

Have never skied them with the Vist plate/binding. The demo pair I tried was mounted with the Head PRD 12's. Skied them back to back with a pair of Head Peak 84's in some pretty funky snow in mid April at Stowe. The Heads felt more like you were surfing over the more difficult snow, where the VXL's tended to just mow down everything in their path. Definitely a more substantial feel, FWIW.

Yes that was my feeling skiing the VXL's at Big Sky. I kept looking for cruddy garbage to blast through. I think the beefiness of the Vist Plate system helped with that.

I'll have to get back to you on that, Phil. The skis are down at my office, and I can't remember what plate/binding combination they are. And I know next to nothing about Vist, except they are expensive, but they do look like a great setup. One of their big selling points is that it's so easy to switch bindings from ski to ski, as long as you have the Vist plate. You can have three pairs of skis, and only one set of bindings, they interchange so easily. I'll bring my camera to work tomorrow and see if I can get some pics up.

Those are the VIST TT plates. I have them on three pairs of skis. It is a great system for travel - one set of bindings for as many skis as you care to carry. The COM adjustment fwd/aft is as simple as flipping a lever and moving the toe/heel to taste.

Often overlooked is the fact that a 4mm plastic shim can be integrated between the toe and ski top. It is a brilliant solution. See:

Keep them. You'll get all vistful over them if you don't.
