Aerial view of ABasin

I noticed this picture on Al’s Blog (COO ABasin) and wanted to share for those who did not catch it.

With hwy 6 on the left of the picture center you'll identify Montezuma bowl in the foreground with that dark spot centered on the ridge line being Zuma Chair off load.  A hair to the right and above that point is the North Pole hiking gate with the bright track marking its path over to the East Wall.  A nice perspective for those who enjoy the boot and drop into the EW chutes.

– Any other aerial views of your fav mountain out there?

I've always admired this older shot of Breck taken from space:

Breck's website recently had a new aerial view that included the new development on Peak Six:

I like the space shot, especially because the runs are all white.

This is why I love the flights between Denver and SLC. You get some cool views of WP, I70 mountains, Aspen and Steamboat.

Arizona Snowbowl in Flagstaff.  This was last Fall right after the aspens finished changing to winter mode.

Coming back from west coast once on the company's G IV with a client in tow, our pilot dropped altitude and a wing so violently starboard to view the eagle/summit county stretch that the drinks hit near windows.  Great viewing...and...that story was embellished at corporate to the point of the customer going weightless ;)
