I picked up a pair of new skis for my sister. I just got them brand new and will be delivering them this coming weekend. With my schedule, that isn't enough time to get a good tune on them around here. I checked them with a true bar and they aren't horrible but I'm guessing the edges are as inaccurate/variable as the base flatness. I would like to recommend to her a good shop to take them too in her area (Stratford, CT). I know the Rotary Ski Shop is still there, but I've never had anything tuned down there.
They just need the bases flat, edges set correctly and a coat of wax. Chances are, if it too far to get too, she won't and I don't want to be blamed for getting her crappy skis when all they really need is a tune.
