I like to cruise - at 62 years old with wonky knees and what sometimes feels like an 80-year-old back I'm not into bumps or jumps anymore. Although I think I ski faster than many, I'm often passed by harder chargers. I'd rate myself an advanced skier, not expert, so I often wonder just how fast the gurus that write ski reviews are talking about when they say a ski's good at "speed". In today's world of SkiTracks and GPS watches, I believe many of us are aware of what mph we experience - can anyone put numbers on what a ski reviewer might commonly consider "speed" and "high speed"?
anyone care to try to put numbers on "speed" in ski reviews?

*shrug* Unless I've skied with the reviewer (it happens a fair bit on here) I've always interpreted those words something like:
speed - 30 mph+ (+/- 5)
high speed - 45 mph+ (+/-5)
EDIT: I interpret your word "cruise" to mean 'possibly in someone's "speed" zone, but not necessarily in everyone's'
