Briefly, I was inclined to smugness when I saw that Saddleback made the top 20 East list at #14, ahead of such more well known places as Stratton, Cannon, Waterville, and Wildcat. Then I saw that Bretton Woods was #9 and realized I didn't know what the heck I was looking at. In any case the photo is worth viewing if you've never been there and are inclined to think there can't be much there there.
[EDIT: Management, does this mean we will finally get a real chair out of the base area? Seriously, how many other areas in the top 20 have an antique double as the sole mechanism for getting you off the base plateau?]
Very interesting that the Loaf was #2. A good day at Sugarloaf sure can be awesome, and no place in the East is more reliable in the spring, IMO. As a daily mid-winter diet it's not my special thing, but ... whatever.
Bob and TPJ, good on ya! One of these days I'll get there in the winter.
