just put my wife in a new set of K2 Supersmooth skies. she is a slow groomer riding novice looking to have fun with the kid and hopefully progress some this year and maybe tackle a blue. they were suggested by my local plank shop, and from what ive found online they seem to be a good forgiving beginner ski. my mission for this year is to have her have as much fun as possible on the hill so i can open up the playbook for next season......Ur thoughts on this selection

That's a great ski for her current skill level and will likely be a great choice to help her improve. Don't be discouraged if she outgrows them fairly quickly, but be happy that you picked a great ski so that you get to buy her something more advanced as she improves.
My biggest regret in skiing is that I put my sister on skis that were too advanced for her which set her skiing back and discouraged her.
Please check back after she gets to ski on them a bit.
