Hey

iv recently bought a new Gopro Hero Black edition, and yet to take it snowboarding at new year! but i have no idea what is the best place to mount/wear my Gopro. as iv watched a tun of videos with shaky footage, or just rubbish angles, or people complaining about them being unsafe and dangerouse in certain areas?

was wondering if any one could recormend a good spot to mount my Gopro where its safe, and able tyo get a great shot/angle of both me and my sorroundings?

Thanks smile.gif

I guess you don't want the chest mounted ones.

some people... mount it to a ski pole.

Being a skier, I prefer a chest harness, but unlike a snowboarder, my chest is pointing down the hill.  Your best option will probably be a helmet mount.  Just beware of chairlift bars.

Teletubby, pole mount, tip/tail mount are probably your best options

Absolute best place to mount a GoPro for Snowboards is in your closet....next to your snowboard.  Leave the snowboard in the closet and go skiing instead.  I don't watch snowboard videos but I do watch ski videos.:rolleyes

Try EpicSnowboard - they might know :D

Sorry, I couldn't provide an answer to your question though.....I'm not really a snowboard hater...except maybe when they heel slip down the mountain and plow all the powder away... but I'm sure you're not one of those.

Teletubby is what you look like when you mount a GoPro on top of a helmet.

I saw that picture on the EpicSki home page feed and I wondered what our descendants would think when they see pictures of us like that 100 years from now.

Funny tho, this is the image I see every day on the mountain, no matter where I ski.
