Just a few photos from this summer.

Great pics!  I wish I could've made it up for some summer laps this year.

Martin, you always bring some stoke, just when we need it!

Fuxi (Franz Fuchsberger) has got to be one of the greatest salesman on ski's the world has ever known. (for those of you in the dark) Fuxi sells race gear to the camp kids all summer long, and anyone else he can talk into visiting his shop. I believe he won some of the world powder 8 comps. wonderful guy, just keep your hands on your wallet when talking with him :duel:

(He got me for a heated boot bag, actually a great item, I think this is a link to the Fuxi site.  http://fuxiracingusa.weebly.com/about.html)

I live just down the road from there, I get a pass at Meadows as it is a much steeper area, with lots of back bowls and woods. The Palmer at Timberline is a good race pitch.

Martin, do you know when the area skier's right off the lift on Palmer gets un-skiable?  Mid-July?

Depends on the previous winter but August most years.

I was on Palmer July 2 this year, the crossover at the top that takes you under the lift to the skier's right was pretty sparse at the time. Once you dropped about 50 yards it was pretty good but rock points were starting to lurk at snow level down lower, and you had to bail to skiers left of the lift before the bottom of Palmer. The best time to ski Palmer is early June, then the skiers right of Palmer is huge. It does depend on the year of course, Mid August on good snow years.

Nostalgic. Haven't skied up there in a while, but remember some worthwhile days in September before classes started.
