I wonder if its possible to bend a ski brake thats too wide, I have a pair of 130mm binding that I want to use on my 88mm skis

I'd just take them to a shop and see if they are willing to trade you for a pair that meet your needs....I am sure it wouldnt be too hard to find one willing to swap.  Just call around.

What skidude said.

I'm sure it can be done - but if you were all set to do that, you would not be asking us :)

What bindings? Some it is just as easy to swap the brake assembly such as Marker Royals, Salomons and Tyrolias but Look Pivot and Rossi FKSs, the brakes cannot just be swapped, and the whole pedestal needs to be swapped out. The former brakes will run you $30-50 for an extra set, the look/Rossi's will run ou about $125 or so.

I usually have the opposite problem...

Ask any shop for some used brakes from their pile in back.

Probably ten dollars out the door.
