Heading to Colorado for the first time, Need advice for ski/boot bags!?

Skiing via plane travel for the first time this winter, finally leaving the east coast, need some gear to haul my shit out west.

Been looking at these for skis:

Line Padded Ski Baghttp://lineskis.com/bags/ski-bag

or

Atomic FREESKI Single SKi Bag: http://www.atomic.com/en-US/Products/Alpine/Bags/Freeski/FREESKI_SINGLE_SKI_BAG/AL5001090.aspx?filter=

or

Dakine Padded Single Ski Baghttp://www.skis.com/Dakine-Padded-Single-Ski-Bag-2014/320706P,default,pd.html?dwvar_320706P_SwatchValue=Black&utm_source=AvantLink&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=Affiliate&avad=3299_b4e6f26d

Been looking at these for boots:

Dakine Boot Ski Boot Baghttp://www.skis.com/Dakine-Boot-Ski-Boot-Bag-2014/320638P,default,pd.html?dwvar_320638P_SwatchValue=Black&utm_source=AvantLink&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=Affiliate&avad=3299_a4e6f0b5

Atomic AM BOOT Backpackhttp://www.atomic.com/en-US/Products/Alpine/Bags/All%20Mountain/AM__BOOT_BACKPACK/AL5001602.aspx?filter=262%3a2

or

Line Slope Packhttp://lineskis.com/bags/slope-pack

Any thoughts or comments? Trying to bring the boot-bag as a carry-on to avoid any unnecessary luggage issues with the airlines.

Thanks All!

. . .

Welcome to EpicSki!  Where are you going to ski?

Check out this thread related to air travel with ski gear.  Quite a variety of opinions.

Personally I travel with a Transpack Sidekick that has boots more or less on the outside and a Sportstube hard case.  Had a padded ski bag before and that worked okay but was harder for me to lug around.

I have that same Dakine boot bag.  I love it!  Roomy enough to stuff in your helmet, goggles, and all toiletries, in addition to boots.
