Old Farmer's Almanac Winter Forecast

Excuse the less-than-professional graphic.. found the OFA in Lowe's today, and decided to take a shot of the map rather than buy it. So both Farmer's and Old Farmer's agree more or less on precipitation, but one says very cold, one says mild across most of ski country. Either way, more sources are predicting a snowy winter! (Sorry western NY and Michigan).

Well, for the Lake Tahoe area wet is better than dry... At least cold at 3000' might mean snow at 6000'! What was the forecast from them the last two years?

Old Farmer's forecast was 94% accurate last year, with the forecast being inaccurate in only one area of the 14 they forecast. Their temp predictions were within a degree of the actuals.
