Bass Pro Shop Gore Tex pants?

I was in the local Bass Pro Shop today and checked out these bibs for quite awhile.  Velcro at the bottom (no boot skirt), sides zip, good pockets, heavy duty material, lined... pretty cool looking though kinda North Face retro. No "extra" in the bottom area... but wow... cheap and ridiculously good reviews.

Any experience out there in ski land?

I did have a medium on for a bit and thought they would work well...

Best,

For the price, it's hard to go wrong, especially it you dig the retro Steep Tech look!

If they fit well, give 'em a try. I've had a whole bunch of buddies ski in their Air Force-issued Gore-tex pants (which appear to be very similar to these) with great results. Having spent many winters skiing in the soggy PNW, I'm partial to Gore-tex pants because they have never let me down in truly nasty conditions. I'm pretty sure BPS has a good return policy, if the pants don't work out for you.

Took a long time to get them in, but at $180 I got them and will give them a test drive.  I should have had them last weekend in the rain at Loon!

What are the cuff reinforcements made of?  Cordura or some similar heavy duty material?  I find this is the spot that most non-ski-designed pants come up short.

I got a pair of Cabelas Gore-tex gloves a couple of years back and they are great.

Yes... Cordura or something similar.  I will they has some in the butt area and not the knee area.  Snowboarders might like the knee reinforced area.  Looks like some rain on Wed and they will get a test drive!

I have 7 days on the pants now and they are great.  One rainy day and one super duper cold day.  Bib material up the chest and back was nice.  thumbs up, but when it gets warm... I will wear my normal ski pants.  Great deal

Figured I would close this out almost a year later... 60 days on the pants and the only wear is from hitting gates below the shin guards.  This are great!
