Keep a rag, sponge, or paper towel handy in the rig along with some  3 in 1 brand oil, mineral oil, or least favorable but definetly works the good ol wd-40.  Wipe edges at end of day, careful to not get on the base as it could strip wax/finish.

Rotawee,

You keep your ski chairs in the back of the rig cool.gif

Maybe he's got a box on the porch under his ski chair and every time he goes into dinner he wipes down the chair? I'm pretty sure I'd never use that chair if it needed all that work.

Well that's a real slick chair you got there

Can you make me one too cool.gif

The katana (officer's sword) my father brought home from Japan in 46 is still razor sharp and without a hint of rust, despite being kept in a Michigan basement and then garage for the last 67 years. Good steel. Maybe the same traditional Japanese technology should be applied to ski edges. Might be pricey though, and the wait for a pair of skis might be a couple of years.
