I have to take most of my vacation before the new year, which sucks, because I would like to take it all in the winter, and I have quite a bit. So my plan is to take as much time as I can to ski before the new year, because after that, it's cramming skiing in on the weekends for the most part.
Besides swimming in a lake here and there, I pretty much think about skiing all the summer
My plan is to get a gore/whiteface seasons pass, or go to some mountains I haven't been to, like sugarloaf, and stowe. Pretty much win/win to me I guess. For what it's worth, I never get sick of whiteface or gore. Anyways, I'm wondering what the conditions are usually like at Jay Peak, Jackson Hole, and Snowbird the first week of December. From what I recall, the first week of December, you have limited options, but can still ski just fine. Would Jay Peak be better, will the tram be open, and how much terrain? What about the western resorts? Is there a certain resort with a likely chance of more terrain being open, anywhere within the US besides CA? I don't really want to fly to far, or go out of the country.
