help finding a ski movie please :)

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, so hello :)

I was hoping to get some help finding a ski movie that's a little more my style than what I've been able to find so far. Nothing wrong with whats out there now, but I'm not really into all the terrain park action. I don't mind a little cliff jumping, but I'm really just looking for a film that has people with their ski's on the snow most of the time..haha. I'm a little too old for any air, and I'd like to watch the type of skiing that I can actually do. I love tree skiing. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks much

Blake

"Steep."  Great story too.  Not so much tree skiing.  You will find it all over on here if you search, it is a classic.

Swift, Silent, Deep.

Ski Bums

Aspen Extreme

The first two are pseudo documentaries.  The third is mostly fiction and a tad more dramatic.

About 20 minutes of really good skiing, another 90 minutes of really, really hammy acting.

But don't get me wrong, it is great.

I'm a fan of Blizzard of Aahhs and Steep and Deep, and pretty much most anything from TGR is good ski porn.

The old Warren Miller movies sound right up your alley. Sound of my favorites of all time are Cold Fusion, Storm, Off the Grid, and Higher Ground. The newer WME movies still aren't bad but IMO aren't as good as the oldies.

Any old Stump movie is going to be great. Everyone knows Blizzard of Ahhs, but Fistful of Moguls is probably my favorite. Like east of bust posted the warren miller stuff is good too. Now if only they would re-release Snowhat on DVD.
