I am getting ready for ski season and  want a new pair of skis. I an trying to decide between the Stockli SX and the NON Fis STockli GS. I currently ski in Stockli Laser GR24 but find that they don't hold on my fast skiing.I like steep flat and fast. I also like PP but realy like the snow a bit hard like we have out east. I have always skied fast but I am turning 50 this year and don't know wan a pair of skiis that will be too much for me. That said I also don't want a pair lie the CR24's I have, these skis just don't hold out on fast runs. I am looking for a race type ski that can ski the whole mountain. Any suggestions.

Are the edges sharp? biggrin.gif

The SX should do you just fine.

I do keep my edges sharp. My ski shop has one of those big Montana ski tuning machines. I insist on sharp edges. I will look more into the SX. THanks

I have had a pair of Laser SXs for a couple of years and would say they are the best hard snow ski I have been on; but don't take them off piste. So i'm not sure it would fit your requirement for a "race type ski that can ski the whole mountain"

A sharp 1/1 does not = a Sharp 1/3 or 1/4.

More to it than just sharpness!
