Ski poles for my extra-large hands?

Thread Starter

I wear an extra-large ski glove and all the poles I have tried seem too small for me; especially the vertical size of the grip. Any suggestions about models that will help me deal with that? What say you? Thanks...

Haven't heard anything new since June...

Extra large ski pole grips?

But perhaps somebody might have something new to suggest.  Good luck on finding something..

how are you holding the grips? If you are using the strap correctly your hand isn't 'gripping' the pole all that much.

Below is a video from some kid who wanted to make his grip more comfortable.  I'm assuming no one makes an extra large grip specifically for ski poles (perhaps I am wrong).  So that means you have to add something to the grip, or find some material to fit over the current grip, or find material to put over the shaft of the pole as a replacement for a grip.   The kid in the video found his solution from bike grips.  Perhaps you can find yours at Home Depot?

I believe OPs problem is not circumference being too small.  It is the height of the grip being insufficient where the pinky is down on the shaft. At least that was the gist I got from the thread they started in June.
