I just finished nursing school and will likely be forced to move in order to secure a job. One cannot be picky as a nurse these days without experience.
I am not sure where I want to move yet, but I want it to have good skiing. In order to be able to find a job, the area cannot be a popular place to live. California, Colorado, Utah, PNW are all out.
So, where are the good ski resorts in less popular places to live? Montana? Idaho? Is there anything decent in Texas? Or do you happen to know of a hospital hiring inexperienced nurses with ski lift access? Is there a spot which is far and away the best skiing and I should focus all of my energy there?
I have one season of experience in Tahoe. I was just starting to ski black diamonds and off-piste in Squaw/Alpine. I'd love a place with a decent number of intermediate trails for me to ski but also exciting terrain for me to grow into. I don't know enough about skiing to say what kind I like best yet, but I would like to learn to backcountry ski someday. I am a skydiver and eventually want to start speed flying.
