WTB Medium to Large ski Jacket

Hey guys,

I'm looking to buy a ski Jacket for this upcoming season. Preferably no less than 15k waterproof/breathability (but willing to go to 10k if the deal is good).

I range somewhere between Medium and Large. Depends on if the jacket is true to size or a little baggy.

Used obviously is expected, but preferably no serious tears or stains.

I mostly like solid colors, like yellow, dark red, khaki, but I'm willing to look at anything you've got!

Really into how the Salomon Jackets look but they're just out of my price range.. I also like Armada, Patagonia, etc. Pretty much any basic brands as long as its not Saga or anything like that. But again, I'm willing to look at anything you've got and buy it from you.

I'm buying used so that I can have a great jacket for a fraction of the price. No sense spending $300+ when there's awesome gear out there that people don't need anymore.

Let me know, thanks!

I almost bought one of these, $167.95 with free shipping...

...but there's a pretty good amount of overlap with a Mountain Hardware shell I already have.

Seems like a pretty good deal on a nice jacket.

Every ski jacket I've purchased over the past 20 years has come from a thrift store of some kind.  Pants can be a little tougher to find used, in good shape, and fitting well, but it is also possible to come across something decent (or Decente' haha) once in a while.  Early December is usually the best time to look as people have cleaned out their closets to make room for new gear about that time.  But, you can really stumble in to a nice jacket for under thirty bucks just about anytime if you cruise around town and check several stores, Goodwill, Salvation Army, Rescue Missions, etc..

I'll speak out of the other side of my mouth now and second what crgildart says in the post above. The jacket I've worn most the past couple seasons I found for about $30 in a Play-It-Again like shop near Breckenridge. Been very happy with it.

Regardless of whether you buy used or new at some point this article will be useful...
