Before We Start Another Conversation

How about one of these?

The strength of this forum is from everyone wanting to do well and share.  Everyone won't always agree and it would be a boring place if we did.  As BB always says, "Question everything." (or words to that effect).  If you are challenged, it isn't a bad thing.  Last night when I finally got home from work, I read a few more posts in the thread that is now locked (and this morning I see I have a typo that will be there for all Eternity - "Life is good" not Live is good cool.gif) and some things start clicking in.  In between all the bickering, were some enlightening posts, at least for me.

I feel confident in my thoughts on the subject as of last night, but would like some more clarification but I don't want to start another pi$$ing contest.  At work when folks on my team get upset with other folks we work with, I ask them "How many people do you think drove to work today wanting to f@ck things up?"  The answer is rhetorical.  We agree that everyone wants to do a good job and based on the information and experiences they have, they are trying to do that.  We continue on from that aspect instead of "He's an idiot that doesn't know how to....!"

I'm not really a group hug type of guy.  Nor am I known for my people skills.  At the root of me is an a$$.  Everyone that knows me, knows that.  I know that too and have learned to deal with it.  Beer helps me keep the beast quiet.  We need to focus on the conversation and ignore the noise.  It's the simplest way to make the noise go away.

zenny,

I'm at work and I'm afraid to hit play on the video.  Please tell me it's two monkey's preening eek.gif !!!

I don't come across that way because I work at it and drink very good beer as a reward for playing nice in the sandbox.  It doesn't come natural.

That's awesome Dude!

My wife and I were talking about deep stuff the other day. She asked if I would re-marry if she died. I told her no and asked what she thought she would do???? She said that if she met the right guy, was still "young" maybe she would.

I thought about that for a bit and I asked her if she would do me one favor; if she decided to re-marry that she sell my car, all my ski gear and golf clubs and give my tools to the kids. I told her I wouldn't be comfortable with some asshole I didn't know using my stuff.

She thought about that for a bit and asked "What makes you think I would marry ANOTHER ASSHOLE??

What you're saying is that you could be posting in the "What are you drinking now?" thread th_dunno-1[1].gif

Here's deep stuff for you...

Years ago after watching the movie popcorn.gif "Indecent Proposal" my wife asked me if I would be OK with her sleeping with Robert Redford for $1M.  I said "For $500K I'd sleep with him!"  duck.gif

Nobody ever drives anywhere hoping "wanting to f@ck thing up", but when they do I always thing of the National Lampoon Volkswagen spoof (I sill have the original issue):

Let's also try to respect the sport by not starting stupid threads that obfuscate the simplicity of skiing. Thank you. words.gif

(I am just kidding, folks.)
