Volkl mantra 2013 boot center advice

Hello,

I know this question has been discussed a bit on the forums, I did search, however, some are a bit dated and I wonder if what's mentioned there still applies to current version of the skis.

I bought this season's Volkl mantra 170 with some griffon marker bindings and I went today to install the bindings and I wasn't sure where to put them. The center line is what I should follow?, it also have marks for +1 or +2. but online I found quite a few references to put the bindings even a little bit back the factory center line, although they were for older seasons's skis.

Can you please advice me what to do?

As for my skiing, I am pretty light, I got the 170 and I have most of my skiing experience on piste and with carving skis with low turn radio. I wanted to change the style of ski to improve my off piste ski in which I am not strong enough yet.

Thanks,
Ariel.=

One the line should be just fine... The Mantra's a burly stiff ski especially for lighter folks so I don't think you would want to go minus the line on the new model.... I had an older Mantra and I had it mounted +1 but you new ski's I believe have early rise tips so I don't think you need to go plus....
