cycling the French Alps questions

I'm cycling the Alps for ten days next month, staying in Meribel and doing day trips.  I've been asked to plan the day trip for Alp d'Huez, which we want to ride just because it is Alp D'Huez .  Others in the group of six will plan other days and the remaining days are to be decided.  I'm thinking of three routes.

The first route ride starts at Bourg d’Oisans, climb Alp d’Huez, descend to Bourg d’Oisans, climb to Oulles, descend, climb to col  d’Ornon, descend back to Bourg d’Oisans.  About 70k and 2740 meters vert.  Not a lot of valley riding, but the ride down from Oulles looks like it could be dicy.   On the other hand, the ride up to Oulles looks fun!

The second route also starts a Bourg d'Osians and up Alp d'Huez, then up Col de Poutran and Lac Besson.  Down part way from Alp d'Huez, and then down to Rochetaillee and back to Bourg d'Oisans

Third route is the same as the second, except the ride would go east to Col de Sarenne, thru Mizoen and back to Bourg d'Oisans.  I've heard that the road up to the Col de Sarenne is rough (bumpy).

Any advice on any of these routes or any others incorporating Alp d'Huez for a day trip?  Any experience riding these routes?
