After 10 years, I will be leaving my post here at EpicSki at the end of this month. I'll be handing the reins over to an able team of people whom you already know: Trekchick, Cirquerider, Philpug, tylrwnzl, and Laurel Hill Crazie will continue to do what they have done so well and will divvy up my responsibilities between them. They'll continue to have Bob Barnes, Bob Peters, CEM, cgeib, DSloan, epic, iriponsnow, marznc, Nobody, TheRusty, T-square, and our many valued Advisors helping out with Moderation, Content, and Community. This group is skilled and experienced, but most of all, they truly care about EpicSki being "the place" for people like us to gather and gab about our favorite thing to do on Earth. (Okay, for some it might be their second-favorite thing to do.) Keeping EpicSki true to its roots is critical to its longevity. That's what I think, anyway. Long live the Spirit of AC, that first breathed life into this joint!
Here's how I view this transition. I have three children, two by birth and one by adoption (EpicSki). All three are grown up now. After I let go of my girls they began achieving their potential in ways I never would have imagined. I know the same will be true of EpicSki and look forward to being equally delighted and proud. As with my kids, I will always be there for EpicSki, but only when called upon and not enough to interfere.
I'm not really going anywhere, more like coming back to the fold. Consider yourself warned: the old nolo, the "real" nolo (that is, the real old nolo) will be back August 1.
And the beat goes on...
