Will the Smith or Giro skullcandy Bluetooth ear pads fit in a Salomon Prophet Custom Air helmet?

I am in the market for a new helmet and I like the look/fit of the Salomon Prophet Custom Air. The only problem is that I will only buy a helmet with integrated Bluetooth into the ear pads. I actually need to take calls on the mountain for work and I like to be able to control my music easily. The only options I've seen are for Smith and Giro helmets. Skullcandy makes them. Does anyone know if I bought one of those kits if they would fit in the Salomon helmet? Thanks for your help.

Along the same line, I have the Solomon Allium 08 Custom Air. Most comfortable helmet I could find but no bluetooth capability. I tried to ask Solomon customer service about aftermarket options but they were absolutely no help. I was thinking of maybe taking the helmet to a tailor to open up the ear pads and place a skull candy system, thoughts or other ideas on this?

Thanks

You should be able to retrofit a Bluetooth system into most helmets if you are at all handy with tools. You would need to fit the speakers into your earpieces using some hot glue and to route the wires between the two earpieces under the helmet padding. Many ear pads already have an opening to insert the speakers, or you could make a small cut to insert them.

The earpads have cutouts for speakers. It's the integrated controls on the outside of the earpads that I want (see link). You're probably right that I could get it to work. I just don't want to ruin a $160 audio kit attempting it.

You know that picture makes it look like the buttons part fits on the outside of the ear pads. Maybe they're not replacement ear pads at all. Hmmmm.
