Looks like they are planning to open some of the goods in Copper Bowl today. The report has expected openings on Bradley's and Matchless - first time I've seen those this year, so it should be nice for manky snow lovers.
A couple thoughts...
1. The report says they are not planning on running the Mountain Chief lift, just the BlackJack lift. Something I never though of with the new Celebrity Ridge lift is how it allows access to Copper Bowl with one less lift. I wonder if they will do that early/late season to allow access when it was previously closed. It will be a pain in the butt taking three lifts, but there should be few skiers back there as a result. Most folks won't even know it's open or how to get there.
2. In the looking a gift horse in the mouth category... this early season snow is screwing up my rope drop seeking plans! All these ropes are dropping in Dec rather than Jan when I usually really start skiing and nobody is around. So as not to spite Ullr, I'm just saying this to note I should be ready to start really skiing sooner in a good early season.
