I don't really agree with this. There has to be one standard. A level 3 needs to be able to teach any lesson anywhere on the mountain. If one isn't physically/technically up to the task, so be it. They aren't a level 3. If there's a national standard, even a Midwest L3 has to be able to transfer his/her skills to any area in the US.
I agree. One standard for everyone. I think what many don't realize until they get to level III is that the standard is about skill, finesse, and teaching, and not about strength and athleticism. Sure, an older candidate has to be in good shape, but don't we want to be anyway?
