The Salomon Plate is the Hangl Plate. Hangl makes them for Salomon (and actually Spirig Tech makes them for Hangl). The WC version of the plate has a screw in the front and rear to cut down on the flex, but it is the same plate. There is also another version of the plate called the F1, which does not sit on top of the ski like the Hangl Race does. It is lifted off the ski about 4mm, but it appears to have a fixed toe. This plate probably is a little more damp, im guessing, and you probably dont get shot out of your turns like you do with the Race. They are very rare plates to come by. Usually only a top notch Salomon dealer will have them, and usually they only have as many plates as they have Equipe 10 2V's. You may be able to order one direct, but be prepared to pay. The year i got mine there were only 80 in the US. I have one of the original versions from 2002 that was brought from France to test the market for the plate. Since then they have become more popular but are still not terribly mainstream. I think for marketing purposes it is now called the Pilot Race or something like that.
