Vladimir Putin's many feats of skill

This is a funny slideshow from the Wash Post. Vladimir Putin's many feats of skill. He can outfight Chuck Norris, outfly Chuck Yeager, outgallop John Wayne, outsing Fats Domino. The only thing I'm disappointed about is they didn't show him outskiing Bob Peters:-) (Does Bob snowmobile?) http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/vladimir-putin-his-many-feats-of-strength/2012/09/05/f7281be2-f7a7-11e1-8b93-c4f4ab1c8d13_gallery.html#photo=1

Putin to Star in Skiing Instruction Video

Quote:

Vladimir Putin has become the lead character in an educational film about skiing

The film was shot by the president’s personal trainer and the former head of Russia’s Olympic Committee, Leonid Tyagachev. According to him, Putin has a very good turning technique and an excellent “pendulum” technique with his legs. Tyagachev notes that Putin has reached such a high level that professionals from a number of countries of the world have praised him. This is reported in today’s “Izvestia” newspaper.

You forget that he has a natural advantage because Russia invented all those sports.

He just dumped his wife for this little number.

Well, his communist rival died leaving him the new undisputed golf champion eh??

Quote:

According to his biography, he first picked up a golf club in 1994, at North Korea's only golf course, and shot a 38-under par round that included no fewer than 11 holes in one. Satisfied with his performance, he reportedly immediately declared his retirement from the sport.

Anyone remember the last European leader who acted like Putin?

Putin is acting like el Duce more and more each day.

Let's not forget about this tough guy..

Putin isn't messing around with potential problems at the Sochi Olympics, dumping the guy in charge for delays and now arresting radical Islamists in their mosques. He doesn't want any heads chopped off at the games, unless he is the one doing the chopping.

I hate to lump Teddy in with Putin and el Duce. While Teddy was instrumental in getting us into a "splended little war" that fortunately was against a collapsing, decayed colonial power he also was concerned about his legacy. His going after the trusts and monopolies rank as one of the most important moments in our history. As Wall Street and multinational companies slowly squeeze out competition we could use someone like Teddy again (though I'd worry that he would be too muich like McCain when it comes to Syria.)

The guy is involved with more physical activities than any US politician: http://eng.putin.kremlin.ru/interests

Putin is also a SuperBowl Champion!

Kraft: Putin stole Bowl ring

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft revealed the real story behind a 2005 meeting with Vladimir Putin, during which the Russian president pocketed his Super Bowl ring, worth more than $25,000. Kraft, at the time, claimed the diamond-encrusted bauble was a gift, but he now admits Putin stole it, and the White House intervened when he demanded it back.

Kraft explained the incident happened while Sandy Weill and other business execs were in St. Petersburg. “I took out the ring and showed it to [Putin], and he put it on and he goes, ‘I can kill someone with this ring,’ ” Kraft told the crowd at Carnegie Hall’s Medal of Excellence gala at the Waldorf-Astoria.“I put my hand out and he put it in his pocket, and three KGB guys got around him and walked out.”

This should keep all the racers in a low tuck.  Don't think I have ever seen aerialists of figure skaters compete in  a tuck before; that will be different.

Expect a brutal crackdown on Chechens over the next year, both militant and moderate. And while he's at it expect some business owners involved in the energy businesses in the region to get accused of crimes so Putin's buddies can seize their holdings.

I wonder when Putin will follow in Kim Jong-Un's footsteps and play a round of golf carding numerous holes-in-one.
