CSIA upcoming high performance camp at Blackcomb

Just thought other CSIA instructors might be interested in going to a 3 day coaching session June 29-July 1 on the Blackcomb glacier. Looks like a good price considering it includes 4h daily coaching from senior level 4s AND lift tickets for 3 days for $399. I'm hoping to make it out.

Yeah I got the email about it from the CSIA. My fellow instructors and I are kinda tempted, kinda not. Yoga and golf in the afternoon? That's a lot of money for three half day ski sessions...I'd rather just retake the Level 3 course next year.

Not really - you get 4 hours a day ski time.

Normal session is - start at 10, finish at 3,..... or 5 hours, and that includes a lunch break....so you might be getting say 15minutes less ski time then a winter session.

Hmm, you have a good point there. Darn, checked the dates and I'm gonna be in Montreal then, so can't make it work this year.

Skidude, are you one of the course conductors?

No, not sure who will be coaching... I'm guessing it will be some Whistler locals.

Whoever is coaching you can rest assure they are the best of the best. I am certain it will be great training. I do know one of the Whistler locals (L4 Course Conductor Wade Sutton) holds an active P.G.A. card. Perhaps he will be involved in the afternoon golf tips. He was one of my coaches on the L4 course I attended last season. Excellent, excellent coaching. As far as skill sets go, it's funny how golf and skiing have so much in common.
