Extra large ski pole grips?

Both my son-in-law and I have very large hands. As a result we are having trouble finding ski poles that are large enough. Any suggestions? Thanks...

Just a crazy redneck DIY idea.  Try wrapping several layers of duct tape around the handle of the poles to build them up fatter.  Might work if the straps adjust long enough to fit around your gloves.

Its not the diameter so much as the length of the grip...

I also have large hands and found that Scott has several models that do not have a ridge on the bottom of the grip, so it does not matter how big your hands are.  That solves one problem, but it does not provide a larger diameter.

Thanks, man. That's a start...

Look for poles with "Racing" grips. Most don't have the lower shoulder or the "Keep out of the eye" top plate.

I have very large hands and always use "Platform Grips" with flat areas on top & bottom.

For reasons unknown to me  they haven't been available for 5 or 10 years.

Also no straps but that's another story.

Touring poles like the Komperdell C7, Black Diamond Ultra Mountain sometimes have extended grip areas ordinarily meant for the small-handers to grab the pole lower.    Would something like that work?  You can shave down the pinky ridge with a Surform or Dragonskin rasp?
