I spent quite a few years patrolling Mad River before moving to Sugarbush. I am from the days before the great denuding and insertion of snowmaking on the face to the right the Gondola, back when North was known as Glen Ellen. Stein and Sigi ruled the world as we knew it.
The only reason I ever left ws that it stopped snowing consistently there by around 1980 or 1983. I was part of the great Diaspora that fled to Little Cottonwood Canyon.
In any case, it is great to see that enthusiasm for the 'bush continues.
