2012/13 stormrider 95 mount point suggestions

I just bought this ski (got a ridiculous deal on ebay for a barely used demo) in a 174 with head prd 12 bindings (am 5'9 145lbs) will be skiing exclusively east coast. What mount point is recommended for this ski?

I skied them mounted on the line. Since you have the Head demo binding on these, you can play with your mount point to see what you like. That is a pretty good binding as "demo" bindings go, I wouldn't hesitate leaving it on there. Curious why these had a Head binding vs. the Salomon derived bindings that Stockli is partnering with but that might be for 2014.

That is 2014 and it's a pretty loose partnership, you can get Sally bindings with your Stockli order, but it's not integrated or rebranded, just a different channel to get the regular Salomon product if you aren't a Salomon dealer.

I own the 183, am 6', 165. My pair, at least, did not have the usual Stockli tendency to have a line way behind the BOF. May reflect company's new early rise. I mounted it 1 cm forward, which felt about right. Your binding is solid, BTW, and gives you the ability to play around, as Phil notes.

Thanks for the quick replies, I guess I will start at +1 and go from there as these will likely see more groomer use in the beginning of the season anyway unless we get some big storms early.

ski's arrived last night; you guys weren't kidding about the bindings being easy to adjust I really can play with the mount point on these; no tools needed

@ whiteroom- these skis were from skiershop in vermont, i know you are from that area-they were tuned before they arrived- generally speaking do they do a good tune?

^^^^^ Uh, Whiteroom is at Skiershop. So I'd guess based on my experience with him/them that yep, they were nicely tuned. biggrin.gif

I guess they were in good hands then. Got to give props to skiershop on the great deal I got on these skis
