3. Where else in the world do ski patrollers stop skiers and boarders mid-run as they escort a wombat across the slopes? It happens.

Will be out there in a month. Hopefully I will be bringing my skis rather than my MTB.

Last year was a great season in Oz, hopefully this year improves fast. I've got my Thredbo season pass waiting. I know compared to the rest of the world the snow is rubbish, but you do get some awesome days in late July and August. Off to NZ in a few weeks to get some skiing in there too!

They've been making snow steadily in the past few days, and there was a big step up in coverage last night.  Going to remain cold for the next ten days, so I'm hopeful we'll have something to slide around on for 29/30 June.

I've not been out there, but I must know some of the folk who have.  I'd like to start making some tentative trips onto the main range this Spring ... the flattish bits to start with.  I'll have to keep my eye open for a nice AT setup.
